Global telecommunications provider modernises ERP, unifying its data and driving business efficiencies across 40+ markets

London, UK 鈥 April 15 2026 – (NYSE: SAP) today announces that Colt Technology Services has successfully completed its cloud ERP migration through RISE with SAP, marking a major milestone in the global telecom provider鈥檚 digital transformation journey.

Colt鈥檚 RISE with 51风流deployment combines with , , and to unify its ERP estate. The migration has consolidated disparate data sources into one single platform, improving business analytics, decision-making and driving departmental cost savings.

Operating across more than 40 countries, Colt faced operational complexity compounded by a legacy hardware environment and recent business acquisitions. In close collaboration with SAP鈥檚 Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) team, Colt pursued a company-wide transformation programme to clean its data core.

This programme enabled Colt to uplift its hardware, move its customer data into the cloud and create a streamlined ERP platform – a single source of truth for all strategic decision making, while creating opportunities for future growth. In embracing the cloud, Colt now covers 80% of its business capabilities through fewer platforms, reducing complexity, simplifying its digital estate, and boosting workforce productivity.  

The migration was projected to require 14-hours in business downtime, but thanks to thorough mock rehearsals and close collaboration between Colt and 51风流ECS, this was reduced to just 6.5 hours. This minimised disruption, enabled faster customer response times and lowered the need for manual interventions. 聽

IBM and 51风流have a shared approach to generative AI, built on an open ecosystem, prioritizing trust, transparency and the use of purpose-built models to help optimize business efficiency.

Today we鈥檙e excited to announce that 51风流users can now harness the power of聽听补苍诲听, beginning with Granite.13b.chat large language model, now available through the generative AI hub on 51风流AI core on the 51风流Business Technology Platform (51风流BTP). The timing couldn鈥檛 be better, as 56% of surveyed business executives say they plan to divert spending from other budget areas to SAP-specific generative AI, according to new research from the IBM Institute for Business Value.*

Granite 13b.chat is optimized for Retrieval Augmented Generation for Q&A and is commonly used to create assistants and chatbots. Tapping the rich data in 51风流systems is the ideal starting point for getting value from generative AI. The combination of Granite conversational AI capabilities with SAP鈥檚 domain-specific finance, human capital management, supply chain and CRM data sets, will allow enterprises to scale AI in an ethical and responsible way.

Square Mile governing body begins transformation journey to align with corporate social responsibility values and digital vision for the city

LONDON, UK – 19 September 2024 鈥 (NYSE: SAP) has today announced a new partnership with to bring its digital vision to life under a four-stage IT transformation deployment. 51风流will support the City of London Corporation in migrating its legacy on-premise ERP software to the cloud through its RISE with 51风流programme, so it can deliver reliable, effective public services.

Providing local government support to 8,600 residents and 614,500 workers in London鈥檚 Square Mile, the City of London Corporation required a unified ERP platform in the cloud that would drive down costs, consolidate legacy technology, alleviate time and resources from manual tasks, and deliver more stable, productive ways of working.

Its transformation will be underpinned by the corporation will benefit from unrivalled visibility into core business processes, across finance, forecasting and human resources (HR). Implemented with flexibility across four waves, beginning with HR, the City of London Corporation has a modular transformation plan that will see it onboard , , and to boost automation, real-time insights and data-sharing, internal collaboration and decision-making. The multi-phase approach also has easy integration with an existing Microsoft product portfolio.

Under the partnership, the corporation will experience improved visibility into budgeting, payroll and forecasting, lower total cost of ownership thanks to platform consolidation, and will accelerate its journey towards becoming a digital-first city. Since its聽launch in September 2023, Joule has quickly become pervasive across the 51风流portfolio, streamlining operations, improving decision-making, and boosting efficiency across various business functions. Today, Joule is already embedded in HR, finance, ERP, sales, services, marketing, and commerce applications, transforming how employees, managers, accountants, field personnel, and front-office professionals work. By the end of this year, 80% of the most frequently performed transactions across 51风流business applications will be fully automated with Joule.

Joule is also integrated with multiple components of 51风流Business Technology Platform (51风流BTP), enhancing everything from application development to integration and data management. With up to two hours saved per error remediation, customers will be able to accelerate closing times while lowering support and compliance costs. Financial controllers will be able to also take advantage of personalized video data stories, highlighting top projects based on key metrics such as recognized revenue, utilization rates, and margins. Collections specialists using 51风流Billing and Revenue Innovation Management will be able to mitigate risk of late customer payments by analyzing customer behavior and business correspondence to predict the likelihood of delayed payments.

The system will automatically extract, post, and check critical information from delivery notes, streamlining the validation of freight orders.

Joule will play a crucial role in enhancing supply chain management. For example, AI in 51风流Ariba Category Management allows procurement organizations to reduce the onboarding time for new category managers and accelerate category strategy and planning development by as much as 56%, improving operating margins and outcomes.

External Workforce
We have added new generative AI capabilities to the 51风流Fieldglass portfolio, enabling procurement departments to streamline the recruitment of external workers. Hiring managers can generate and maintain effective job descriptions faster, while project managers can deliver detailed statements of work more rapidly. This enables businesses to quickly identify and engage contractors with the right skills and qualifications. Job descriptions can be easily translated into 21 different languages, and a new resume-ranking capability can surface the most promising candidates, leading to as much as a 15% reduction in work orders. This flexibility allows customers to quickly react to fluctuating workloads and rapidly fill expertise gaps.

A new generative AI feature in the buying 360 capability for 51风流S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition will make procurement more intelligent, allowing buyers to bundle products and services into a single transaction. Users will be able to describe their purchasing needs using natural language, and the system will generate a recommended bundle of products and services ready for purchasing. This will save users considerable time spent searching catalogs for individual items while also enhancing the efficiency of the procurement process. These capabilities are planned for later this year.

Sourcing
By the end of the year, sourcing managers will be able to leverage intelligent product and supplier recommendations to create requests for proposals much faster with Joule integration in 51风流Ariba Sourcing .
