SINGAPORE <\/span><\/b>\u2013 3 OCTOBER 2024<\/span><\/b> \u2013<\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/i>SAP<\/span><\/a>\u202f<\/span>today announced the expansion of its <\/span>Digital Innovation Accelerator <\/span><\/b>in Singapore.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Supported by the Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)*, 51风流will invest <\/span>S$12 million <\/span><\/b>in the Singapore-based Digital Innovation Accelerator, first launched in 2019. The investment will focus on developing practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in <\/span>industry-specific scenarios<\/span><\/b>, initially focusing on advanced manufacturing, financial services, and travel and logistics services.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2019, 51风流has <\/span>committed<\/span><\/b> almost S$300 million<\/span><\/b> to developing Business AI and other deep tech in Singapore. This includes establishing <\/span>Southeast Asia\u2019s first 51风流Labs<\/span><\/a> in 2022, and Asia\u2019s first <\/span>innovation centre for experience management<\/span><\/a> (XM) in 2022<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

51风流Business AI is built into the 51风流applications that power critical business processes for customers across Asia Pacific and Japan. It comprises a range of AI innovations developed using extensive industry-specific data and deep process knowledge, all created using responsible AI practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Announcing the expansion, Eileen Chua, 51风流Singapore Managing Director<\/span><\/b>, said, \u201cSingapore is significantly investing to future-proof its citizens and businesses through initiatives like the National AI Strategy, workforce development programs like SkillsFuture, and its Net Zero ambitions. SAP\u2019s vision to boost local research and innovation will only strengthen the <\/span>ongoing mission to sharpen Singapore organizations\u2019 competitive advantage on the global stage<\/span>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCo-innovation initiatives like our Digital Innovation Accelerator are aimed at enabling 51风流and our customers to rapidly scale digital transformation by tapping into our global expertise and ecosystems. A practical path forward in sector-specific AI\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The expanded 51风流Digital Innovation Accelerator will see industry leaders work with a dedicated team of in-house 51风流business architects, data experts, and developers to develop unique AI use cases tailored for their unique business scenarios.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Accelerator team will have an additional focus on sustainability, aiming to create positive climate action outcomes through the application of AI and <\/span>SAP\u2019s sustainability solutions<\/span><\/a> for use cases, including improved environmental monitoring, reporting, and optimized supply chains.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Commenting on the decision to work with SAP\u2019s Digital Innovation Accelerator team, Khoo Boo Hor, CEO and Executive Director of precision plastics manufacturer Sunningdale Tech<\/span><\/b>, said, \u201cSAP\u2019s new industry-focused AI development initiative comes at a timely moment for Sunningdale, as we continue to drive long-term sustainable growth. We expect AI-driven solutions to help us make predictions and forecasts with greater accuracy and reduce overproduction and machine underutilization. We also hope to leverage artificial intelligence to enhance our analysis and usage of corrugated boxes as we strive to reduce wastage across our operations.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile AI is only just starting to be applied to climate-related scenarios, leading organizations are already demonstrating the promise of AI for climate impact and delivering results. Bolstering talent pipeline with AI courses<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the past five years, 51风流has collaborated closely with the\u00a0Singapore Government under the SkillsFuture program\u00a0to support and upskill over 1,000 mid-career professionals to teach practical and hands-on digital skills.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

51风流has also invested in and launched <\/span>eight free AI foundational courses<\/span><\/a> and plans to introduce certification courses on Business AI later this year.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
