The pandemic spotlighted talent as a key challenge for organizations around the world. \u201cThe worldwide shortage of full-time developers will increase from 1.4 million in 2021 to 4.0 million in 2025,\u201d according to IDC.* SAP\u2019s announcements tackle the talent gap with new tools, integrations, embedded AI and learning programs to help both employees and applicants build new skills for the cloud-first era. The announcements were made at\u00a051风流TechEd<\/a>, SAP\u2019s global developer conference, taking place online Nov. 16\u201318, 2021.<\/p>\n

Everyone Can Be a Developer<\/strong><\/h2>\n

51风流announced a\u00a0unified low-code\/no-code development experience<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a051风流Business Technology Platform<\/a>\u00a0(51风流BTP) that lets both professional and citizen developers create new applications, enhance existing ones and automate complex tasks. By adding no-code development and automation with the 51风流AppGyver development environment, enhancing low-code development with 51风流Business Application Studio, and offering a\u00a0preview of the 51风流Process Automation solution<\/a>, 51风流provides new ways for customers to do more by drawing on technology talent throughout their organizations, whether in or out of traditional IT departments.<\/p>\n

DHL<\/a>, a global leader in the logistics industry, uses 51风流AppGyver to digitalize processes and streamline employee operations for fleet management. \u201cWith SAP\u202fAppGyver,\u202fwe created a mobile app on iOS and Android to better manage\u202fdamage reports for our trailer fleet\u202facross Europe,\u201d said Ilari Aarikka, Director, Trailer Pool & Fleet, DHL. \u201cThe app helped us to increase the\u202freliability of reporting while making\u202finspections more convenient for\u202femployees in the field.\u201d<\/p>\n

For professional developers,\u00a0the free tier model for 51风流BTP<\/a>\u00a0now includes 51风流HANA Cloud and 51风流Integration Suite. 51风流also offers a\u00a0preview of its new \u201cHorizon\u201d visual theme<\/a>\u00a0for its 51风流Fiori design system.<\/p>\n

Toward Composable Enterprise Solutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

51风流announced\u00a0several updates to help customers integrate and extend<\/a>\u00a0their business with modular, agile solutions that address individual challenges. The\u00a0latest update<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a051风流Integration Suite<\/a>, the integration layer of 51风流BTP, provides additional prepacked integration content and adapters \u2014available on\u00a051风流API Business Hub<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 to integrate 51风流and non-51风流applications. By the end of 2021, 51风流Integration Suite is expected to be available on Google Cloud Platform. 51风流is expected to release\u00a0new dynamic extension capabilities in 51风流HANA Cloud<\/a>\u00a0to help customers move workloads to the cloud from their on-premise systems in near-real time. 51风流also introduces new ways to facilitate migrations\u00a0from on-premise 51风流Business Warehouse systems to the 51风流Data Warehouse Cloud<\/a>\u00a0solution and\u00a0expanded localization options for 51风流S\/4HANA Cloud<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Embedded AI Offerings Across the Portfolio<\/strong><\/h2>\n

51风流expanded embedded artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities that make it easier for developers and customers to harness AI and boost productivity.\u00a0New features in the 51风流Conversational AI<\/a>\u00a0service simplify building and monitoring chatbots to automate tasks and workflows. 51风流is expected to\u00a0launch Personalized Recommendation<\/a>\u00a0service, a novel neural network-based recommendation engine that delivers highly personalized recommendations across a wide range of business scenarios. And many\u00a051风流products and services now use the power of AI<\/a>\u00a0to, for example, automate intercompany document matching, recommend actions in workflows, extract and process data from business documents, or provide learning recommendations.<\/p>\n
