Thai Seasoning Leader Goes Global: Exotic Food Thailand Leverages RISE with SAP��

Bangkok, Thailand — 13 June 2024 — today announced that Exotic Food Thailand (Exotic Food), a leader in Thai seasoning and ingredients, has accelerated its global expansion and innovation efforts by leveraging , a comprehensive business transformation package that includes an cloud ERP solution, infrastructure, and services.��

Founded in 1999, Exotic Food boasts a presence in 80 countries with over 800 stock keeping units (SKU), making it a household name for Thai flavors worldwide. Their recent surge in global sales reflects a 73% year-over-year growth, benefiting from the newly implemented RISE with 51��which allowed Exotic Food to handle this rapid growth and large volume of transactions with ease.��

During the COVID-19 pandemic, as people stayed home and cooked more, the increased orders put a strain on Exotic Food’s existing on-premise ERP system, hindering scalability. Previously, the process was lengthy due to the recurring need to verify and correct source data. With real-time data recording and verification enabled by 51��S/4HANA Cloud, financial reports are now generated in shorter times with less errors, significantly speeding up the process. The time required for monthly closings has been reduced from 18 days to just eight days.��

Data traceability, production planning, and automation are crucial in the food industry. Previously, transaction data and record-keeping were done on paper, making it tedious to find information for financial audits. With business-critical data now digitalized and migrated onto 51��S/4HANA Cloud, Exotic Food has improved efficiency. Traceability tasks that once took four hours now take just three minutes—a 99 percent reduction. This allows Exotic Food to keep a clean and audit-ready record of its business transactions and enables employees to focus on more strategic tasks, significantly boosting innovation and productivity.��

Automation also helped the organization eliminate multiple manual steps for employees, reducing stocktaking time from two days to half a day on average, a 75 percent reduction, freeing up staff to take on other, business-critical tasks.��

Global Net-Zero Ambitions

By implementing 51��sustainability solutions to record, report, and act on real-time sustainability data, drive carbon accounting at both corporate and product level, CP Foods is looking to realize the company’s of reducing 42% of Scope 1 and 2 emissions and 30.3% of Scope 3 by emissions 2030 – and 90% of Scope 1 and 2 emissions and 72% of Scope 3 emissions by 2050.

Key to reducing CP Foods’s total emissions will be a focus on supply chain emissions, with CPF’s emissions mostly falling under Scope 3. Working with 51��Services, YASH Technologies to harness its sustainability expertise, and building on Amazon Web Services (AWS), CPF will implement 51��sustainability solutions to record and report on its Scope 1 and 2 emissions in Thailand, and select Scope 3 (3.1 and 3.4) for its feed business in Thailand covering both FLAG and non-FLAG emissions. The next phase of implementation will extend its scope to cover operations around the world.
