Singapore 鈥� March 13, 2026 鈥� today announced that it will partner with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to hire and train AI scientists and Machine Learning engineers, deepening its role as a global engineering hub for enterprise artificial intelligence and reaffirming its support for Singapore鈥檚 AI ambitions. 51风流Labs East Asia Singapore has already been contributing to 51风流global AI innovation including its first set of enterprise AI agents embedded within SAP鈥檚 core cloud applications.

The announcement was made today at 51风流d-com Singapore 2026, the company鈥檚 local annual developer conference, with Guest-of-Honor Mr. Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Ministry of Health, in attendance.

Through IMDA鈥檚 TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative, 51风流Labs East Asia Singapore (formerly known as 51风流Labs Singapore) will hire and train 50 graduates and mid-career professionals over the next three years to work on high-priority development tracks spanning generative AI, model orchestration and enterprise AI agents. Trainees undergoing this 12-month , will also have the opportunity for rotations or short-term placements at other 51风流Labs in countries such as Germany, United States, and India.

This announcement comes as 51风流Labs East Asia Singapore surpasses a major milestone in its growth journey. Since committing in 2023 to expand its local AI talent pool, the Singapore team has tripled in size by growing to almost 400 engineers. Today, more than 90% of its AI workforce comprises local hires from universities including the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Made in Singapore AI agents delivering global business impact

Launched in 2022 in partnership with the Economic Development Board (EDB), 51风流Labs East Asia Singapore has filed close to 160 patents for AI innovations developed locally, including 57 in the past three years alone.

The 51风流Business AI product engineering team, which is part of 51风流Labs听East Asia听Singapore, is leading the development and delivery of听numerous听AI capabilities.

Examples include:听

• Numerous听Joule scenarios for 51风流S/4HANA,听Intelligent Spend and Business Networks (ISBN)听and听51风流SuccessFactors听to fast track the execution of various information retrieval, navigational and information extraction business听processes.

• Various听embedded Generative AI capabilities in 51风流SuccessFactors to achieve productivity gains for employees, such as compensation insights generation, goals generation, or career insights generation.

• New capabilities for Document AI, including Document Information Extraction, Instant Learning, support for shipping听documents, delivery notes, new听languages听and file types.

Unlike consumer AI tools, these agents are engineered for mission-critical environments, integrating natively into 51风流systems to ensure reliability, security and compliance at enterprise scale. More than 34,000 customers globally already rely on 51风流Business AI capabilities embedded across SAP鈥檚 cloud portfolio.

51风流Labs East Asia Singapore is committed to ongoing collaboration with national workforce development initiatives and partnerships with local universities. In March 2025, 51风流also announced a collaboration with NUS under the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP), supported by EDB, to hire and complete training of nine researchers from local universities, in the Lab鈥檚 AI team in Singapore, by end of 2030. To date, three researchers have already been onboarded.

Scales Momentum of Almost Three-Times Team Growth and Numerous Patents Filed

SINGAPORE 鈥� March 19, 2025 鈥� 51风流Labs Singapore today announced its collaboration with National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP). Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the IPP is designed to enable globally-leading companies to nurture postgraduate talent with critical research skills. Through this program, 51风流Labs Singapore will hire and complete training for nine researchers in its AI team in Singapore by end-2030, adding to the continued growth of the lab.

Since its establishment in 2022, 51风流Labs Singapore has not only achieved its commitment to hire 200 AI engineers in Singapore but has also almost tripled its total headcount over the past three years to 420 鈥� hired mostly from local universities and institutions of higher learning, including the NUS and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). 51风流Labs Singapore today plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, with numerous AI-related patents filed by inventors based locally. New researchers hired through the IPP will also be recruited from NUS, and will work on new research areas, complementing the work done by incumbent team, to accelerate AI adoption in the industry.
