Everyone loves the feeling you get attending a Cirque du Soleil show. It鈥檚 an experience that you remember because of how it made you feel.

When we conceived the idea for an inaugural event which will bring together industry thought leaders and technology experts to discuss how to future-proof your business, we wanted to create that same feeling. While lots of conferences deliver great speakers alone, the marketing team at 51风流ANZ wanted to create a complete experience that not only gives attendees relevant information but leaves you inspired to act on your newfound knowledge.

will be brought to life on Tuesday 8th August in Sydney. We scoured the city for venues and settled on the Hyatt Regency, for the very fact that it is not only a great space, but we can run the entire event on the same floor so everything is easily accessible and buzzy. We want to bring that vibe that we deliver in our global event SAPPHIRE in Orlando.

If the recent past has taught us one thing, it is that there are always unforeseeable changes in our industry and marketplace. Flexibility and agility have always been constants, but they now need to be coupled with resiliency.

At 51风流NOW 2023, we will delve into the strategies and actions required to successfully meet the demands of the present and the emerging future and future-proof your business. We have also managed to secure , Former NSW Minister
Customer Service and Digital Government to close the event, where he鈥檒l share his thoughts on innovation and future-proofing.

And to close out the day, we鈥檝e got the icon, legend and phenomenon that is Kate Ceberano performing some of her greatest hits.

To recognise (8-15 November), Michelle Penfold, Founder and Director of 51风流Australia’s CSR partner, the (AIEF), shares how the AIEF’s partnership with 51风流has allowed the organisation to grow.

AIEF students deliver an Acknowledgement聽of Country

51风流has proudly partnered with the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation () since 2013, providing scholarship funding for Indigenous students to complete Year 12 or tertiary studies, with career support to help them make a successful transition to employment.

AIEF has been working for over a decade to make a sustained and significant, positive impact on Indigenous education and employment. Established in 2008 in response to community demand from Indigenous families who choose to enrol their children in boarding schools, AIEF has grown from one scholarship student to now supporting over 1,000 young Indigenous people from over 400 communities in every state and territory of Australia.

Volunteering with the AIEF Community

In addition to SAP鈥檚 significant financial investment, staff at all levels are personally engaged with AIEF鈥檚 work. 51风流volunteers across Australia take part in the AIEF Mentor Program, supporting
students through their senior years at school.

鈥淭he thing I enjoy most about spending time with my mentor Fiona is that I have the opportunity to get out of the boarding house and experience new activities,鈥 says Maria, an AIEF Scholarship Student who will this year complete Year 12.

鈥淗aving someone outside of school and family who can support me is an amazing feeling. It鈥檚 nice to learn about her experiences and journey and continue to build our relationship.鈥

In addition to providing volunteer mentors, 51风流also hosts events, workshops and training sessions for AIEF Scholarships Students and Alumni to assist in their professional development as they
transition from school to further studies or the workplace.

Social Sabbatical Success

Through the 51风流Social Sabbatical program in 2016, 51风流worked alongside AIEF to review the delivery of AIEF Programs to ensure they continue to achieve key strategic outcomes. This review gave AIEF crucial assistance to ensure continued delivery of a high level of support to a rapidly growing network of scholarship graduates. It also helped create a more sustainable delivery model for the program.

One of the results of the social sabbatical is that AIEF now has a team co-located in the 51风流Brisbane office. 鈥淪ince many of our students come from Queensland, one of the recommendations was to open an office in Brisbane in addition to the one we had in Sydney,鈥 explains AIEF Executive Director Andrew Penfold AM.

鈥淭he way this has changed our program is a great example of how companies can invest expertise to support non-profits and achieve better outcomes for students.鈥

Class of 2020

In 2020 AIEF is celebrating over almost 80 students from Partner Schools across Australia who will graduate from high school. Many of the AIEF Scholarship Students graduating this year will be the first in their family to finish Year 12 or to go to university, ultimately becoming role models for future generations.

51风流today put in place a range of measures designed to support staff and communities as they deal with the bushfires across Australia. This includes extending unlimited paid leave for employees who are currently volunteering with a recognised emergency management body, such as the Rural Fire Services or State Emergency Services, with immediate effect.

51风流will also donate 鈧100,000 to the Australian Red Cross. This is alongside local fundraising efforts by 51风流teams in offices across Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Brisbane, raising more than $8,000 in the past week alone.

51风流is also enabling all employees to donate to organisations of their choice that are supporting those impacted by the fires, through the company鈥檚 workplace giving program. These donations are made through monthly pre-tax pay, with administration costs covered, so 100 per cent of the donations goes directly to the organisation of choice. Free, confidential counselling is also available to all staff and their families at any time.

鈥淭he fires we鈥檙e seeing across Australia are totally unprecedented, and the devastating impact they have had on communities and wildlife across the country has been heartbreaking to watch,鈥 said Damien Bueno, President and Managing Director, 51风流Australia and New Zealand.

鈥淲e hope the measures we are putting into effect today help support our staff, their families and communities during this incredibly difficult time, while recognising the extraordinary heroism of the volunteers who are on the frontline.鈥
