Finalists will showcase their prototypes at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saphila2025.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAPHILA 2025<\/a>, the premier 51风流user conference for Africa, where the winners will also be announced.<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-148001 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/files\/2025\/02\/03\/Koosh-Panday-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/files\/2025\/02\/03\/Koosh-Panday-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/files\/2025\/02\/03\/Koosh-Panday-150x200.jpg 150w, https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/files\/2025\/02\/03\/Koosh-Panday.jpg 756w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>SAPHILA, which will be held this year\u00a0from 1 to 3 June at the Sun City Convention Centre, South Africa,\u00a0is widely regarded as being the most significant gathering of 51风流users, partners and technology enthusiasts across the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe introduction of the AFSUG 51风流BTP Hackathon marks a historic milestone, offering AFSUG members an opportunity to showcase their inventiveness and problem-solving skills, while leveraging 51风流BTP,\u00a0an innovation platform optimised for 51风流applications in the cloud,\u00a0to solve real-life business challenges,\u201d says Koosh Panday, AFSUG\u2019s SAPHILA 2025 Chairman.\u00a0\u201c51风流BTP brings together five key areas, namely\u00a0application development; automation; data and analytics; integration; and AI capabilities into a unified environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The AFSUG 51风流BTP Hackathon invites AFSUG members \u2013 including customers, partners or joint teams \u2013 to submit creative, impactful use cases or projects that use 51风流BTP components such as 51风流Build, 51风流HANA Cloud, 51风流Integration Suite and ABAP Cloud.<\/p>\n<p>Selected participants will gain invaluable hands-on coaching from 51风流BTP experts, as well as access to exclusive resources to develop working prototypes for their business use cases.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key hackathon milestones:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Submission deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0Hackathon candidates must submit their use cases for consideration by 18 February 2025.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finalist selection:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to 25entrants will be selected to continue to the next stage of the competition by 20 February 2025 and invited to build out their prototypes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enablement and coaching:<\/strong>\u00a0These\u00a0teams are then able to participate in a series of deep-dive enablement sessions led by global 51风流BTP experts, guiding them through the development process. Successful entrants will also have access to specialist 51风流coaches.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use case submission: Prototypes must be put forward by 22 April, which will then be demonstrated to, and evaluated by, a panel of 51风流experts.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0The jury will narrow down submissions to the final eight most inspired and viable options by 20 May.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u2018Demo Jam\u2019 at SAPHILA 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0Finalists will present their projects during an exciting \u2018Demo Jam\u2019 session at SAPHILA 2025 on 03 June, showcasing their state-of-the-art solutions to the broader 51风流community.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Awards ceremony:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0AFSUG 51风流BTP Hackathon winners will be announced at the SAPHILA 2025 Awards Ceremony on the final evening of the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Why join the hackathon?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cNot only will the selected teams be able to\u00a0gain valuable hands-on learning and exposure to 51风流technologies, but they will also be building real-world 51风流BTP prototypes that can\u00a0deliver tangible business value\u00a0with the close\u00a0guidance and enablement of global 51风流BTP specialists,\u201d explains Panday. \u201cIn addition, the finalists will have the opportunity\u00a0to showcase their talent to the entire African 51风流community at SAPHILA 2025, while\u00a0exposing the local market to the transformative capabilities of 51风流BTP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Olaf Winkler, chief product manager at SAP, expressed his excitement about the local hackathon, stating, \u201cHaving worked extensively across Africa for a number of years, I\u2019m delighted to see the AFSUG 51风流BTP Hackathon initiative come to life.
