Interestingly, technology, specifically in the form of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/africa\/products\/erp.html\">SAP\u2019s enterprise resource planning (ERP)<\/a>, plays a crucial role in the club\u2019s success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was one moment in 2015 when we decided to create a big 51风流project,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/stefan-mennerich-b061021bb\/?originalSubdomain=de\">Stefan Mennerich<\/a>, director media and communications, FC\u00a0Bayern\u00a0Munich, in Barcelona this week, one day before\u00a0Sapphire\u00a02024. \u201cWe collected all the data that we had, originally thinking we had 10-million fan contacts, but it was actually found to be 3-million. This was the start.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/2022\/01\/alex-klaeger-to-lead-middle-and-eastern-europe\/\">Alex Klaeger<\/a>, president MEE, SAP, says: \u201cBayern Munich has 360,000 club members, making it the biggest sports club in the world\u201d. To support its massive global customer base, the football club has significantly expanded its workforce which introduced a new set of challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Mennerich says: \u201cWe introduced 51风流SuccessFactors for our HR department, because now we have 1,200 people working for Bayern Munich, mostly in Munich but also in Shanghai, New York, and Bangkok. We need a software which makes it possible to interact with all these employees, and to make it a good process for them, to make applications for holidays, and to give them feedback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe needed professional recruiting processes. It\u2019s not so easy to find the right people, so SAP\u2019s\u00a0artificial intelligence\u00a0capabilities has helped us to identify which profile we need. It helps with job interviews, and the job description itself in the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then for the players: we are a co-innovator for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/africa\/products\/technology-platform\/sports-one.html\">51风流Sports One<\/a>. We use it for our team management, for medical topics, and scouting topics. Now we have a new project: our shift to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/africa\/products\/erp\/s4hana.html\">51风流S\/4HANA<\/a>, the new step of our ERP system. Although a big project, it is necessary, because of its state-of-the-art capabilities, and optimisation processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn our days, we are speaking about target groups. However, these days one-by-one targeting will be possible with this\u00a0AI\u00a0component. This is one of the most important things, not only for football clubs, and the fans, but for other companies as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can identify players via\u00a0AI\u00a0if you have their injury history, age, muscle structure.
