51风流today unveiled Joule<\/a>, a natural-language, generative AI (GenAI) assistant.<\/h1>\n

At the\u00a051风流Business of the Future Summit<\/a>, hosted this week at the company\u2019s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, 51风流executives said industries continue to converge and core business models are being adapted to adopt and leverage AI.<\/p>\n

In line with its strategy to champion the business case for AI investment and integrate the technology into business process management, Joule will be embedded throughout SAP\u2019s\u00a0cloud<\/span>\u00a0enterprise portfolio.<\/p>\n

The intention, according to SAP, is to deliver proactive and contextualised insights from across the breadth and depth of its solutions, as well as third-party sources.<\/p>\n

The company added that by quickly sorting through and contextualising data from multiple systems to surface smarter insights, Joule drives faster productivity and better business outcomes in a secure, compliant way.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith almost 300 million enterprise users around the world working regularly with 51风流cloud solutions, Joule has the power to redefine the way businesses \u2013 and the people who power them \u2013 work,\u201d said Christian Klein<\/a>, CEO at SAP.<\/p>\n

According to SAP, Joule will be embedded into 51风流applications including HR, finance, supply chain, procurement, as well as into 51风流Business Technology Platform.<\/p>\n

Supply chain support<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

The GenAI co-pilot is designed to support digitised, automated supply chain operation, which is another key area of focus for SAP.<\/p>\n

51风流said Joule can identify underperforming regions; link to other data sets that reveal a supply chain issue; and automatically connect to the supply chain system to offer potential fixes for the manufacturer\u2019s review. Joule will continuously deliver new scenarios for all 51风流solutions.<\/p>\n

Joule will be available with 51风流SuccessFactors<\/a> solutions and 51风流Start<\/a> later this year, and with 51风流S\/4HANA Cloud, public edition<\/a> early next year.<\/p>\n

Phil Carter,<\/a> group vice president, worldwide thought leadership research, IDC<\/a>, said: \u201cAs generative AI moves on from the initial hype, the work to ensure measurable return on investment begins. 51风流understands that generative AI will eventually become part of the fabric of everyday life and work and is taking the time to build a business copilot that focuses on generating responses based on real-world scenarios \u2013 and to put in place the necessary guardrails to ensure it\u2019s also responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to SAP, over 26,000 51风流cloud customers have access to 51风流Business AI<\/a> across multiple scenarios and\u00a0partner<\/span>\u00a0solutions.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s strategy to build an enterprise AI ecosystem includes direct investments, such as those announced in July with Aleph Alpha<\/a>, Anthropic<\/a> and Cohere<\/a>, as well as third-party partnerships including those with Microsoft<\/a>, Google Cloud<\/a> and IBM<\/a>, which were announced in May.<\/p>\n

Global software venture capital firm, Sapphire Ventures LLC<\/a>, is backed by 51风流and has earmarked over $1 billion to fund AI-powered enterprise technology startups.<\/p>\n
