{"id":140568,"date":"2020-04-30T07:23:28","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T07:23:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/?p=140568"},"modified":"2020-04-30T07:23:28","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T07:23:28","slug":"announcing-the-2019-regional-sap-quality-award-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/africa\/2020\/04\/announcing-the-2019-regional-sap-quality-award-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing the 2019 Regional 51风流Quality Award Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">The regional 51风流Quality Award winners have celebrated the best of the best 51风流implementation projects across Europe, Middle East, and Africa since 2005. 51风流is proud to announce the 2019 winners.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, more than 260 customers from 15 51风流market units nominated their successful projects, impacting millions of users.<\/p>\n<p>Customers compete at two levels &#8212; first in their local market unit, then <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/2019\/02\/2018-sap-quality-awards-finalists-selected\/\">local gold winners<\/a> go on to the regional final, where they present their projects to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/corporate\/en\/company\/quality\/awards\/winner-benefits-and-prizes\/regional-judges.html\">independent judges<\/a> who ask tough questions to evaluate adherence to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/docs\/download\/2016\/04\/084bb1a5-6a7c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.pdf\">10 51风流principles of quality<\/a> and delivery of the business benefits the customers set out to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s winners came from a wide range of industries with different business challenges.<\/p>\n<p>One of the <strong>Business Transformation<\/strong> category winners was global food manufacturing company<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kelloggs.co.uk\/en_GB\/home.html\"> Kellogg&#8217;s<\/a>, with iconic brands like Kellogg\u2019s Cornflakes and Pringles. Supported by SAP, the company developed a common, standardized project and product management system with 51风流S\/4HANA product lifecycle management to deliver a simple and faster process for modifying or launching products in the European markets.<\/p>\n<p>Together with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bdounicon.ru\/en\/\">BDO Unicon<\/a>, leading Russian metals and mining company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nornickel.com\/\">Nornickel<\/a> completed one of the largest SAP-driven business transformation project ever in the <span class=\"ILfuVd\"><span class=\"e24Kjd\">Commonwealth of Independent States <\/span><\/span>(CIS) region, including a new broadband landline through Siberia, streamlining more than 500 business processes for thousands of users in the company\u2019s Arctic site, to replace legacy systems with one 51风流core.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sidf.gov.sa\/\">Saudi Industrial Development Fund<\/a>, a government agency that provides financial support to private industry, together with its partner <a href=\"http:\/\/albiladarabia.com\/about-us\/\">Al-Bilad Arabia Co. Ltd.<\/a>, completed a pioneering project to replace over 70 legacy applications to provide a world-class service to customers to achieve Saudi Arabia&#8217;s national strategic economic goals.<\/p>\n<p>In the<strong> Cloud Transformation<\/strong> category, one of the largest airlines in the Middle East, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etihadaviationgroup.com\/en-ae\">Etihad Aviation Group<\/a> together with SAP, redesigned its employee experience with a new end-to-end digital experience. Together with SAP, global private markets investment manager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partnersgroup.com\/en\/\">Partners Group<\/a>\u00a0 implemented an entire suite of 51风流cloud solutions to decrease landscape complexity and manage risk. And Austrian construction company <a href=\"https:\/\/porr-group.com\/en\/\">PORR AG<\/a> was looking for a state-of-the-art purchasing solution to realize its goal of a paperless construction site with partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnt-online.com\/\">CNT Management Consulting AG<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Within the <strong>Fast Delivery<\/strong> category, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kerakoll.com\/en\/home?lang=en\">Kerakoll<\/a>, a green building company with headquarters in Italy, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.h-t.it\/\">H. T. High Technology<\/a> optimized logistic processes and services thanks to the quick and accurate deployment of 51风流Extended Warehouse Management. Aptly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.porsche-holding.com\/de\">Porsche Holding GmbH<\/a>, together with partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnt-online.com\/\">CNT Management Consulting AG<\/a>, developed an integrated planning process using a central platform in order to lower resource consumption and accelerate planning cycles. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umeme.co.ug\/\">Umeme Ltd.<\/a>, Uganda\u2019s main electricity distribution company covering the operation and maintenance of the electricity distribution infrastructure and end-user electricity sales, had a pressing need to be able to operate and report in multiple currencies along with a desire to improve financial controls. The company achieved this by leveraging 51风流S\/4HANA with the support of implementation partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sealinfotechme.com\/\">SEAL INFOTECH PVT LTD<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Three very different customers won in the <strong>Innovation<\/strong> category. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capetown.gov.za\/\">City of Cape Town<\/a> wanted a user-friendly solution for its entire asset maintenance, empowering the crews and helping ensure that traffic lights, for example, are repaired more speedily. By developing an innovative solution called FIGC Football Data Integration, based on 51风流Cloud Platform and 51风流HANA, the Italian Football Federation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.figc.it\/it\/home\/\">FIGC &#8211; Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio<\/a>, supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clariba.com\/\">Clariba<\/a>, can now provide real-time data on players to coaches, medical staff, and athletic trainers.
